Mary & family
We were so surprised and saddened to hear of Earl's passing. We have so many great memories of both Earl and Mary. Earl, working with Dad with the racing commission, Mary being such a great friend to Dad, Earl and Steve being such terrific friends. We will all miss Earl very much and hope that time will ease your sadness.
Sincerely,
Barb (Cefkin) Springer and Perry Springer and family

To the Carlson Family:
I was saddened to hear about Earl because he was really a part of our family growing up. He was always part of our many and varied sports activities, and could do everything well. He was also one of the bravest people I have ever met and endured his painful and ongoing kidney problems with good humor. Among the many things I remember about Earl was his love for his Corvette, which did not really return his devotion because that thing was constantly in the shop. It was a strange coincidence that he passed away on the same day we were having my mom's memorial reception--he was one of her favorites. I am glad I got a chance to see him last summer during a high school reunion--same old Earl who always gave me the business! We will miss him, especially my brother Steve, Earl's oldest friend.

Hi Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. As you know Earl and I were best BUDS in Vet. school. How fondly I remember our trips to Laramie to watch the Cowboys play and the hospitality extended by the Carlsons to Sue and me. I remember Earl and I cramming the night before a test sitting in the bean bag chairs, eating popcorn, petting our Goldens Penny Jones and Nicki and thinking to ourselves are we going to make it. I remember Earl trying to teach me how to ride a horse and rope a saw horse at our Vet. school parties. He was a great guy, always had a smile, only guy that could call me "DIRT", and loved you dearly. I am really going to miss my best BUD. Take Care John & Sue McQuown
